If I choose to save and then find and try to open the document, the results are the same. (that I have) to open it with it's no better or impossible, for instance NotePad shows a different but still unusable document. It shows as a text document that is an unusable mess. When I try to open the document from the Email on the 8.1 computer I'm asked if I want to save or open, and WordPad is used by default to open. I had created the document with the Works Word Processor in my XP computer, and sent it via Email as an attachment to the 8.1 computer, as it was the simplest way to transfer at this point (I'm struggling with transferring all my files, but that's another There is no version of Microsoft Office/Word installed on this computer.
